I'm Tarek Rached. I like to build things, and to use numbers to create pictures of the material world. My life's work is to help build a more sustainable planet through green energy, engineering for sustainability, and information visualization.

Currently, I'm a master's student in the Technology and Policy Program at MIT where I work in the Laboratory for Energy and the Environment. I'm computing the avoided emissions associated with renewable power generation (specifically offshore wind).

Tarek's Head

I grew up moving between Washington D.C., Lebanon, and France. My work is inspired by the possibilities of using technology as a tool to understand our world more completely.
